If you say that hunters are noble citizens who protect nature and love animals, then say nothing more. You can think that to yourself, just don't say it here. Butchers in meat factories are more decent - at least they don't pretend that they do it out of nobility and love for nature - they clearly say that they do it for money.
But that's not what this story is about.
This story is about beautiful things.
One night I dreamed that deer were coming to our yard. They did come by occasionally, usually in late fall or winter, because they found fallen apples under the apple tree.
I dreamed that I would give them a slice of bread and one of the bolder doe comes up and I can pet her, I hug her soft neck, she snuggles up, eats from my hand and we stand like that for a while. It's an amazing feeling to hug another living being born and traveling at the same time as you.
When I woke up, I decided that this was the idea for a new painting. Only I will not hug the doe, but a more beautiful character - well, of course, a woman.
And the woman will be with a rifle - because she is a bit of a predator, like each of us. But that brief moment when you hug and feel the warmth of the body of another living being, the burning desire to live - that moment changes everything: a cold-blooded man-predator turns into a sensitive and loving person.
And now the part of interesting coincidences.
I was already going to tell Jurga my idea, but she calls me first:
- You won't believe it, - he shouts into the phone, even choking with impatience, - I just saw two deer near our house!
And sends a photo (I'll post it in the comments).
- So that you know how good it was to watch them, - says Jurga . - The whole day became wonderful!
